So, how many of you have got all your Haribos and chocolates in for the big night and how many of you misery guts have rigged your doorbell up to the mains?

Last year was very quiet round here, only had about 7 or 8 treaters

I got all dressed up last year and had loads of sweets and nobody came. It seems less and less people are doing it each year.

Wifey is always keen to have a big box of sweets for the kids who knock. We have a pumpkin carved and the ringtone and movement tones on the ring chimes have been set to spooky sounds.

Not many people seem to do it around here these days, really seems to have died off over the last few years. It's good because I don't have to turn the lights off and pretend I'm not in any more.

The US is completely ****** up. Harry Potter is banned from schools because it's 'not Christian' and about magic, yet they have no qualms about allowing their kids to celebrate a pagan festival.

The idea of it being a pagan festival is also the subject of much dispute

We’ve got some bags of Haribo but will be out visiting homes in the local area that are obviously happy to take part (decorated, seen handing out sweets to other kids, etc.).

It’s busier than ever with trick or treaters around us. Usually just have a pumpkin on the doorstep to let people know that we’re ok for people to come to the door. Usually try to have some of the neighbours and their kids over for a mini Halloween party rather than traipse around the streets bothering people or getting soaked in the rain.

Here’s one for the OcUK masses - is it weird for people to drive to a certain area specifically to trick or treat in? This is what seems to happen near us! I find it very odd, but there are some people nearby who take the whole thing very seriously with decorations and costumes, so probably welcome this.
