Hi all,

I am looking to buying 1 x 120gig Vertex soon. to put Vista 64 on it, then when Windows 7 is out get a 2nd 120gig vertex and running raid 0.

my question:

Assuming the current "trim" program from OCZ doesnt work for 64bit or raid until windows 7. If i then get windows 7 and trim my existing 120gig then make a raid 0 with both drives i should be ok right? from the performance degradation thing. also i 99.9% certain i read that vertex will support trim too. i think spending this amount of dosh does create a tiny bit of doubt amongst the excitement hehe

TRIM probably won't work for RAID on windows 7 either, it'll need the RAID controllers to support it as well as the drives themselves since windows can't access the individual drives in a raid array, it just talks to the RAID controller.

Aye that is a big problem when it comes to TRIM. I hope somebody figures out how to solve this problem, or I might just wait for sata 3 and get a single 500MB/sec drive when they arrive.

ah so trim doesnt support raid...

could you potentially break the raid trim each drive individually then raid them back up ?!??!

i guess u gotta ghost the raid somehow.
