Trolling going too far...

Did anyone pause at the bit where the griefer replied? Did you see the text above and below? What an idiot.

Also, if I am understanding this correctly, some people think that because there is minority of internet users that are complete bellends, everyone else shouldn't use it without expecting grief?

That's like saying "If you don't want to get burgled, never own/rent a house."

The fact that some people shrug this off as "just being the internet" means it is only likely to get worse.

Pretty much.

The anonymity of the internet brings out the worst in people, when I see someone on the internet being an idiot I see it as that person giving me a glimpse of what they are really like, a takes a real gentlemen/lady to keep their composure when there is practically no repercussions for being impolite, I think the internet is a great testing ground for civility becuase of this.

Why do people have memorial pages?

edit: 'they claim their worldwide community claims 9000... and growing'... had to lol, also spit my coffee when they showed a coolface

The amount of factual inaccuracies and blatant tricks they fell for in the report was ridiculous. A quick scan of ED would have given you more information on this group than that news report.

"These guys are trolls and are not to be trusted, so let's trust a message from one of their dedicated trolling accounts..."

I think it's a rather nice example of how easy it is to manipulate the media if you take into account that they probably used a single source...

You may get your wish, as being anonymous on the internet seems be becoming a thing of the past IMO....

Its sad that the kids killed themselves. I think it is just stupid that people allow themselves to get bullied over FB to a point where they kill themselves. This is just a case of "survival if the fittest". It was their own faults that they died.

That being said, i dont think thag those ****ers had any right to go on that page and post something so harsh. If ur going to say something that others may see as mean then atleast give a reason for your viewpoint.

What if someone has a problem which they do wish to be anonymous about? Eg, would you really want to ask the world about a problem with your nib when ur friends and family could see it?
Internet anomnity would donothung if we lived in a civilised society. Society needs to change-not the internet
