Depends, why should we be bothered to read a post that was created by someone who couldn't be bothered to check their spelling?

I like it TBH, it keeps the standard up. There are too many forums around where you have to decipher the text to find out what people actually mean. It's hard enough communicating your point on a message board without text speak, laziness, and bad grammar making it worse..

I don't particularly mind the odd 'their/there/they're' cockup, Burger Van Apostrophes tend to tick me off though. Overt text speak really takes da biskit tho innit

It depends how bad your english is to be honest. It is a english speaking forum, and I can't stand having to figure out what someone's written in pidgeon english..! But yeah, when it's things like apostraphies or spelling mistakes that really don't make a difference... it can get annoying :p

Sometimes if they used txt talk...

But it depends, some people like to be high and mighty...but sometimes people do use ridiculous typing when posting.

txt talk is hideous in a thread

Because it doesn't really matter if something is spelt correctly or not as long as you can understand what the word is?

Personally the grammar nazis don't pick on me because I spell correctly, but they really need to stfu sometimes and just let people spell things however they want.

As a general rule i'm not too bothered about the odd spelling or grammatical error, but I loathe the posting style that completely ignores it.

The forums are certainly not an English lesson (if it was about 25% would get an F, and we'd have the inspectors in;)), but if someone cannot be bothered to spend a few seconds making their post readable, i'm sure as hell not going to waste time trying to decipher it.

Having said that, i've got very little time for the people that post just to point out a spelling or grammar mistake.

From what i understand trolling is....

Being abusive to other members, dropping smart comments and laughing on the posters behalf

If you cant spell, get back to school

I'd just like to point out that you haven't used a capital 'I' in that first sentence. You have used 'i' instead.

note: this type of post ANNOYS me, i feel like punching the wall when people do it, because i have done it in an example type of way, i'll spare the pain

You really should capitalise the first letter of a new sentence, along with the word 'English' too, you know.

Correcting someone's grammar isn't trolling. As far as I'm concerned, if your English is bad it needs correcting. You'll never learn otherwise. Don't go through life benig a gimp.
