Trouble Restarting Engine After Stalling?

Its manual. When turning the key you hear a high pitched whirring noise (very quiet) - thats it.
Fuel Pump cut off switch may need a manual reset to avoid the 15min wait.

Usually hidden around one of the footwell areas.

It could be something simple like the starter motor solenoid is sticking because of the heat, causing the starter to fail to engage, or the solenoid is engaging but the contacts aren’t touching because of the heat. The cooling fan connection could be totally unrelated, because I can’t see how such a simple circuit could be causing the problem, even if you have air conditioning, which normally means the cooling circuit is much more complex, I still can’t see how it could cause the trouble.

Next time it happens have a listen for a click when you turn the key, you’ll probably need the bonnet and doors open to hear it, if you hear a click and nothing happens either the starter isn’t getting enough current to turn the engine or the solenoid contacts are at fault. If you don’t hear a click then the solenoid could be jammed or the ignition switch or relay could be playing up.

I would suggest checking the starter motor heatshield if you car has one.

The heat has more than likely caused the solenoid to stick meaning your starter motor is duff until it cools down a bit. Starter motors because of their location are subject to a lot of heat damage.
