KB-006-CM_400.jpg

The Trigger keyboard offers you the ability to press up to 6 keys simultaneously and utilize five programmable macro keys with profile management. These features give you the possibility to reduce transport and redeployment times by storing profiles and key assignments with 64KB of onboard memory. Next to this, the multi-media controls allow you to quickly adjust for example audio options to make working with the Trigger even easier.
A detachable wrist rest and non-slip rubber coating make sure you have maximal comfort and results while gaming, by providing proper support for wrists and reducing unwanted keyboard movements or slides.
The 18K gold plated ultra low latency USB connectors and the integrated two port USB 2.0 hub of the Trigger give you the option to connect other peripheral devices. A high-grade braided cable ensures that the keyboard and connected peripherals maintain a solid link to your PC or notebook.
For people who use their gaming keyboard in a dark environment, the Trigger also offers some nice back lighting options. You can either choose to have all the keys highlighted with Red LEDs, highlight only the WASD and arrow keys or have the LEDs in a breathing mode.

YES

been looking out for a decent tenkeyless board.

cant wait to get hold of this and try it out.

now if only it had red switches...

that would tempt me away from my Ducky Shine ;)

Is it only the Cherry MX Black switches that are available in the UK? I noticed the same model pop up on a competitor a few days ago, but still haven't seen any with Browns or Reds which is really what I'm looking for.

About time a mech keyboard with black switches which wasn't razor came out in the UK, especially at that price. Very nice.

Reds will be available end of the month, maybe pushing start of next month.

Brown switches are not great, they are very much like membrane switches. Don't see the point in upgrading your keyboard to a mechanical board that feels like cheaper membrane board.

I have used all colours and the order from best to worst is

Red Switches
Black Switches
Blue Switches
Brown Switches

they will be uk

I will be doing a full review on a Red switch board when one becomes available to us.

UK layout :)

I have given RJK permission to me a review, cos to be frank, why have a dog and bark yourself.

Mmm, matter of opinion I think. Does this mean Browns aren't going to be stocked at all?/won't be available in the UK?

I think there'd be quite a big demand for them judging by the Mechanical Keyboard thread and Geekhack. A lot of people have them down as a good compromise between typing and gaming, without the double-press issues that Blues have but without the stiff keys of Blacks, while still having some tactility.

CM have no plans to release a brown switched model in UK format :(

If they did I would stock it!

Can someone give me shorthand version of why mech keyboards are good?

1. Actuation feels amazing
2. Lifespan
3. Actuation feels amazing
4. Choice of switch types to offer the right feel for you
5. Actuation feels amazing
6. No Lag
7. Actuation feels amazing
8. Actuation feels amazing
9. Actuation feels amazing
10. Actuation feels amazing

Honestly until you have used a mechanical switched keybaord you will not understand.

Ah that's annoying Ace Modder.

Oh well. Might splash out on a Red when they're available.

Do you happen to know if the UK ones are still made by Costar like the American ones? (Same OEM that make Filcos, so should have similarish build quality at a much much much cheaper price)

Steelseries 6G & 7G been out for a couple of years. ;)

Anyway, these certainly look like nice keyboards and I would be tempted bar the fact I have a 6GV2.

Noisewise, apart from the Blue switches it depends on the typer. Blues will always make that annoying tinny click that some people like for some reason, while Reds, Browns and Blacks are all silent until they "bottom out," when they make a click sound. However, the actuation point unlike membrane keyboards isn't at the bottom, it's about halfway along the key's travel, so with a bit of practice you shouldn't be bottoming out. Therefore, theoretically with practice they should be quieter.

Even if you can't get used to the bottoming out though you can get things called o-rings which dampen the sound, examples of which are on youtube.
