I have thought long and hard to what car I should buy. I have cut my list down to a few but still struggling to decide which one, So i thought id'e ask your opinion:
I'm not really that bothered about the insurace but obviosly don't want to pay a stupid amout like £5000 thats why I have choosen these few as the insurace is no higher than £2500 which I don't believe to be that bad, for a nice car.

p.s Your opinions would be most appreciated.

I'd go for the VTR, the fiesta will get boringly slow very quickly, and the MG is just pants for the money, might as well just buy an early 90's rover 200.

Any reasons why to help persuade me to go for the fiesta??
Excellent little engine, and doesn't have the typical stigma and increased insurance costst attached to it that a tarted up 15 year old Rover or a Saxo VTR would have when driven by a new driver.

I agree that the Rover 200 is just as good. I just think the MG means so much more. ;)

I'd avoid the MG, simply for the fact that despite claims you can't get certain parts for it anymore. For example autoexpress had a story where a couple had their wing and door stoved in by an accident. there was no replacement door skins or wings in the country so despite the insurers settling they could not get the work done and had to accept a dodgy bodywork repair instead of new parts.

You have been warned.

I'd go with the VTR. MG will rape your insurance.

Why not get a cheap car for a year to build up your no claims and experience on the road? I thing I've learnt is that driving by yourself (after you've passed your test) is quite scary at first considering thers is no one there to help you.

i think i'd go with the vtr! gash interior but who's bothered about that, nice mk2's arent exceptionally chavvy either imo ;)

Clearly Mk1 > Mk2, shame Mk1s are 7 years old now :(

Nah too many Mk2s about thats why I had to get one in a lairy colour :p Most chavved up Mk1s have been crashed so the ones left are good standard examples. I miss my old car :(

Anyway, a standard MK2 is rare, and a good thing :)

Common as muck because girls like them too :(

Oh and missed this post

Out of those three, I'd personally go for the 1.25 Fiesta :)

Most definately don't get posidon blue (posi blue), its common, its always distastefully modified, and to be honest its not even "that" nice.

Icelandic Grey is one of the rarer colours, however the rarest MK2 colour being the Yellow that GT3 has.

Personally I wouldn't get black as even though I clean my cars twice a week, it would still look like a mess of swirl marks most of the time.
