Trying to get a refund on delivery due to a delay

Thanks for the response guys, the service they used was DPD next day (not a service like royal mail 1-3 days for example).

I placed my order early yesturday and they despatched it yesturday so I can't see any way that I'd be in the wrong

However is DPD next day guaranteed for next day delivery? I guess that's what it biols down to.

Did the sending company guarantee you next day delivery?

DPD telling the sender they will guarantee next delivery and then the sender saying "next day delivery" to you, are different things.

One has a contract guaranteeing next day delivery.

And one has a retailer saying "next day delivery".

I cant see any mention of service guarantees to the consignor.

Next day guaranteed it seems is a premium service over and above next day.
