Label said:"Thanks to the two fermentations int he Brakspear 'double drop' system and another in bottle, this highly aromatic and satisfying strong beer delivers it's rich flavour with subtlety and balance"
Brewed with Marls Otter, Crystal and Black malts, Northdown hops are used in the copper with Cascade added at the end of the boil. Brakspear's classic fermentation starts in the top vessel, dropping to a lower one to complete its primary phase. Here it stays to complete its secondary fermentation, during which more Cascade hops are added. Finally it is bottled with its yeast and the third fermentation starts. The flavour of this beer will go on to develop further complexity as it matures in bottle.

Due to an overwhelming feeling that I was sipping Meths, bottle number two (Brakspear triple) has been abandoned.

Feeling the effects of alcohol - I am a complete lightweight at the best of times. I feel slightly lightheaded and fuzzy.
But, hunger prevails - I just put a garlic bread thingy in the oven.
