Tuniq Tower Price WTF!

Ever so slightly O.T.

Is it worth while changing the fan on the Tuniq tower in the interest of silence? The stock one is good but I'm tempted to try a "Quiet" fan.

I changed mine for a Nexus, and am very happy with it :D

I would say no as i have my fan running at the slowest speed possible with the fan controller and notice nothing more than -1ºC change if i turn it up to full. Give that a try, if u notice running at slowest speed means u get too hot, then replace the fan.

I have a Noctua in my TT and the fan is virtually silent at full RPM... temperature dropped a couple of degrees as well.

Thanks for the Comments on the fan guys;)

I'm thinking about going the watercooled route, If I don't then I'll change it.

If you had owned a TT you would know that the stock fan is seriously loud - £14 is a bargain for silence.

If you had read my post you would know that I have. Turning the fan down to low using the control that comes with the TT makes it silent...

Well we bought 10 a little while ago but then the price went silly and we bought elsewhere...

To be honest tho you will be seeing components shoot up in price over the following few months... We have been quoted 10-15% increase on Antec chassis, 15% Increase on Chieftec and 10% Increase on Corsair PSUS thats before you stat even looking at components. Poor pound vs Dollar rate as well as metal being a lot more expensive as well as a lot higher transportation costs are to blame really.

The average built PC will probably be £100 more expensive by christmas than it is now...

I ordered my new system around a month back from OCUK, total was around £850, checked out the price to see if anything had gone down and the overall price was up over £900 total  Bought at the right time for once I think!

Got Mine xmas paid £30 for it and was well worth it. Keeps my OCed quad very cool.

I wouldn't pay £60 it not in a million years
