Tupac's discussion

I never really got to grips with Tupac - didn't like his shouty thug style, and not keen on the general tone of his voice either.

Well here is my take on LIF

His rap makes sense but it is nothing i havent heard before, his delivery and flow on that video is a remincense of the late 90 style - i dont exactly like it that much or hate ot. I need a constant flow, something very smooth (foxy brown style). I have to listen to more of his stuff so as to rate him well.

Anti - pop
Nothing spectacular after the political message. As for the verse by M.Sayyid (the rapid delivery style)...i honestly dont like stuff like that, i prefer rappers to go at a steady pace and use their wits lyrically. I will take lif's over this particular track.

I like the back tracks to the perpendicular video. The flow is better and i like it best amongst all what you have presented. Im checking out all for mp3 dot com if they stack them. They sound interesting but i dont wanna judge them just by listening to a couple of tracks.

Funky homosapien is a genuis, i love him and i think he is great. I like what he did with the gorilaz.

lol

I am at work, gonna check them out as usual when i get home. :) I think, ive heard some of them but let's not be to hasty (sp?)

I was a big fan once upon a time. He's a bit pretentious but definately has skill. have you checked out dose one?.

Hell, yes.

I'm a huge fan of Beat so he appeals to that side of me.

Supreme lyricist too.

My only criticism is that his flow doesn't vary as much as I'd like to see.

I tried to find Twice The First Time to blow El away but couldn't :(

I never really got to grips with Tupac - didn't like his shouty thug style, and not keen on the general tone of his voice either.

most of his music is not gangsta thug style stuff you can't have heard much of him if you think he only did gangsta music.

he wasn't even a gangster he was an actor before he was a rapper, he just happened to get famous for music first although prison did change him for the worst like it does many people, if you ever known anyone who went to prison even in this country you know they come out different.

2Pac - Thugs Cry (Remix) (until the end of time album version)
Is one of the best tracks of all time!

tupac wasn't even talking about himself in most of his songs he is just telling the experiences and stories of what it's like for people in the ghetto.

50cent is far more the gangster than tupac ever was, go look what he got arrested for before he was famous ;)

10kg of cocaine of something ridiculous like that after trying to sell drugs to an undercover cop.
go read what cars he had at 19.

tupac was about as much of a gangster as eminem was

I'm also extremely dubious about his lyrical output over the past 10 odd years since he died, most artists don't get anywhere near the volume he has put out(or rather has been put out in his name). I wouldn't be particularly surprised if there were a few Tupacs kicking around recording for his past umpteen albums as I doubt that anyone would have stockpiled enough music(of sufficient quality also) to have produced as many albums as he apparantly has.
He lived in the studio and did multiple tracks in a day sometimes,

All he had to do was pen lyrics and do verses , someone else would do the track after.

a lot of his newer music is not even new it's just remix of his old music which is why so many of his stuff on youtube is labeled as OG (original)

Love my 80's and early 90's hip-hop Steady B and the like but have to put my hands up and say i've never heard a tune from Tupac or even Biggie Smalls wouldn't have a clue if i ever heard one of there tunes on the radio

Any second now Daryl and Rick are going come crashing through the door and put a couple of bullets in this threads head.
