Can someone settle a debate for me, I showed this thread to my friend, who is good at science but not a driver - he didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with the PVC boost pipe and the artistic welding (we didn't get on to the other 'features' of the install such as oil return feeding into the dipstick holder) - as my car also has a plastic boost pipe (OEM) although I suspect boost pipes are made from a different material, and not robbed from washing machines!

cPVC is good for 100C if the fluid isn't corrosive and substantially higher pressures than 8psi for typical thicknesses of pipe. What sort of temperatures would that be exposed to? I'm guessing the turbo end is going to be a lot hotter though.
