Either way, that rust looks pretty scary. Nothing gets rot out...![]()
It was more the milage that was the issue. I'd be looking to upgrade the suspension all round anyway. Also a new Turbo from Turbo Technics plus fitting is around £600. I called him up and asked if he'd MOT to which he'd responded "Haven't got the time". I'll call him back on Monday and offer him £500 see if he takes it.
My angle grinder would disagree![]()
Just got a call of him - he said they put the chassie number in as the milage and I do remember him pointing that out on an MOT. He won't budge off 2k, that's propbably why it's been on sale for over a month. Harldey the bargin he thinks it is. I'll call him back in a week with the offer of a £1000, rinse and repeat.
So whats it going to cost, 1k at least for the car £600 for a rebuild £40 for an MOT then whatever else it needs to pass that, so around 2k in total. Seems i was right about the rot, hardly a shocker, i'd avoid this car personally.
So why does the 'chassis number' change between the MOT and the retest?![]()
that would indeed be the sensible thing to do, I'm not thinking with my heart. Finding a Black na is hard :/
the guy who put it in the computer fails - I have the chassis number here and it's the Milage on those two tests

Change the rear lights and forget about a cheap BBR cause it aint going to happen, the car in question is a nail, good BBR's go for good money.
