Turn based RPG Type Game?

Haven't played one of these for years and was wondering what you guys' suggestions would be.

Preferably available for digital download :)
 
Puzzle Quest is a surprisingly good game. It was an impulse buy during a steam sale and I lost many hours to it. I doubt it's the sort of thing you had in mind, but it qualifies :P.
 
Kings Bounty for singleplayer, nothing (recent) comes close.

For multiplayer, go with Might and Magic Heroes VI. They screwed with the title of the game for some reason, its the sequel to Heroes of Might and Magic 5.
 
http://www.impulsedriven.com/dndmaster was £6 the other week but even at the current price it has the greatest RPGs money can find.

the new Might & Magic Heroes VI is catered towards turn based gameplay but maybe go for something like Kings Bounty as thats a truly superb game and can be had for £3-6.

I never got on with it, the leveling system seemed odd to me. The more stuff you kill the worst of you were? Most guides for it say try to avoid fights and only grind in certain areas. Makes no sense to me :confused:

I played the demo for it and really didn't like it at all.

Reminds me, I know someone who bought Cthulhu, not sure if they got round to playing it, will have to see if its any good.
 
I realize this may not be exaclty turn based but you can kind of turn it into that -
dragon age 2 - using the pause button and playing on nightmare mode.
kept me occupied for quite some time; especially if you play a hardcore like mode.
