Hi all, anyone know of a good sized case for the pi, wanting to build my own retro console that will house the pi and pidrive etc without looking messy
I would advise against pulling the plug in and out of the pi without shutting down, I had my Corsair keyboard plugged into mine while I pulled the power and put it back in, it seemed to have fried my keyboard!! Now all I get is blinking lights on the keyboard regardless of what it's plugged into
Barely any power is used at all, they're very low powered devices. The amount of heat is minimal, the total electricity drain is miniscule. Why faff about, just leave 'em on.
It probably costs more to buy one of the shutdown button accessories than it actually does to run a Pi 24/7 for two or three years!
I've installed a switch in the top of the case which resets it so I shut it down via the software and to reboot it I just need to push the button once and it boots right up.
