Tutorial: Adding multiple LEDs to a basic case fan.

I remember my first was a slow job too. It didn't help that I kept putting the occasional led in backwards. I learnt that before glueing up I should give the LEDs a quick 12v test to make sure.

I can do one roughly now in around an hour and a bit, and that's with my unsteady hands. Tidy takes a bit longer though.

It gets easier mate ;)

Still need to do my spectres. Should get round to it but I keep messing with the PWM converter trying to improve it yet further.

Yeah, most of the time is spent because of testing the LEDs, making sure I'd got the polarity right.

As you know because you helped with the calculations, that's taking me twice as long as I'm placing 2 LEDs per circuit, with 2 circuits on each side.

I'm also hampered by the chassis design. I don't know whether Zaward just use a generic chassis design but there are 4 5mm LED holders already on the chassis, which is in my way.

Well I suppose I should technically have written that in past tense since I've completed the mod barring wrapping the chassis.

It's not perfect but then I wasn't expecting it to be for my first time.

The pic doesn't really do it any justice in terms of effect. To the naked eye it has a strange "holographic' look to it and it's a lot deeper in colour and not as bright. My phone just auto-corrected the image.
