Tux?

Would you say it was alright for a ball?

I wore mine for a works black tie do - I just looked the same as everyone else did. Trust me, if you are wearing a black jacket, white shirt and black tie nobody will bat an eyelid and nobody will even notice the difference between yours and the guy next to you, regardless of cost.

Black tie is just a uniform, there's not much point spending hundreds for the average joe because you won't really stand out. You just need to look smart and standardised. No "zany" tie!

Anyway, there is FAR more interest in what the girls are wearing!

Mine from M&S was about £100, figured that was worth it when I bought it - £50 is far better now. What's the point in hiring when you can be comfortable in your own suit? :)

Do you guys think that M&S sell this instore:

Yeah i was gunna get this for my prom, cheapest thing out there, but then my Local M&S didnt stock it, so i had to resort to river island. £85 suit in the end

If my local shop does not have it in stock, I will try on the nearest match, note down the sizes and order it online. I just need to have it by the 19th :)

Plus, I can get Quidco online :)

I am also considering something else which may come in more useful for interviews:

Total price is around £75 for this, and since the girlfriend is wearing black and white, it will match nicely :)

What's the point in a dinner Jacket anyway? It's the collection of garments I would wear for eating dinner in.
