I don’t see what’s so funny. BBC provided a free service which didn’t need a licence. Narj used that service which is being changed so you need to pay £140+ to use it. So Narj is going to stop using it which seems perfectly reasonable to me.

There is nothing wrong with saying the content on BBC isn’t worth us paying £140+. The only thing that remotely interests me is Doctor Who and it works out something silly at over £20 per episode over the past 4 years to pay a licence to watch that. Completely not worth it, cheaper to by the DVD’s. For the price of 1 episode I can get the entire season on Blu-ray or DVD.

I still find it unreal that people actually believe you need a license all because a corporation says so!
Have these same people been scared so much that they have forgotten that they are free human beings on this planet?
Do they really think that a corporation has higher rank in the natural world than them?
Time to wake up, you are being taken for a mug.
Cancel that direct debit and tell them to **** off. If everyone did that they will realise they have no power.

it was not Narj i was amused at, i agree with you :)

Surely you would rather pay the BBC than the pernicious Murdoch tax? Why anyone pays money to Sky is totally beyond me. Programmes for the brain dead basically.

Sky is great, and if you want the decent American dramas and comedies it's your only option anyway. BBC is good for comedy panel shows, Traffic Cops and that's about it.

They are backed by government legislation :o

Can you show me something which confirms your statement about iPlayer?

edit: Just found a reference, doesn't apply until September 1st, so i'll stop watching iPlayer by then. I'm not paying £150/yr for MasterChef, which is about the only thing I watch on it!

Why are people so bloody tight? The BBC is absolutely chock fully of the most wonderful documentaries - real mind blowing stuff, yet people would rather watch mind numbing programmes from the likes of Murdoch i.e. pond life programmes?

Someone asked me yesterday if I'd watched 'nude blind date'. My first reaction was shoot me now! There really is little hope for society.

Lol
Is anyone's name in murder legislation. Its is absolutely freeman nonsense
Go to court and find out how well it works. Hint you get no where.

Since when has it been permissible to use the words 'decent' 'American' and 'dramas' in the same sentence?

Have you ever wondered why lots of other countries co-fund BBC documentaries, especially the Americans? It's because the BBC are recognised world wide as masters of their craft when it comes to making documentaries.

P.S. Sky is not great - you are deluded.

BBC documentaries are good, still cheaper to either buy them out right or wait for them on Netflix though. Its not like there's new documentaries worth watching every week. There's a couple a year on BBC.

lol murder is breaking LAW not flavour of the year legislation, and why would i want /need to go to court. that would grant them subject matter jurisdiction. look it up if you don't know what that is..

Try hiding. But you have absolutely fallen for freeman nonsense. You are utterly clueless what regulation is, what law is and what you are subject to.
You are 100% wrong no if, doubts or debate

But keep living in your fairy land.

Sky allows access to many series that aren't available through terrestrial means and most definitely aren't rubbish. The BBC also produces some very well produced content. I wouldn't say having an opinion on either that clashes with your vociferous opinion makes anybody deluded however.

I got rid of my license 3 years back, no regrets. I pretty much only used it for catching up on the news in the morning. After seeing how the BBC has failed so badly in it's unbiased broadcasting policy I won't mourn it's loss if it does go.

After getting rid of the license I got a netflix sub instead which worked out cheaper but I have since cancelled it. These days I find I can basically go on youtube, type in the word "documentary" and always find something interesting to watch.

law is no harm, injury or loss to another it's that simple..
fine have it your way. if you think your are subject to all legislation then to you it is law..but legislation is a rule on a legal society nothing more nothing less.

More freeman rantings, with no bases of reality. Again clueless.

Rather than believing nonsense on freeman websites, why don't you go talk to a professional and ask them to educate you.
