Tv on pc...asked a million times im sure...

tim_enchanter has covered virtually all you need to know ( good info :) )

Have been using DVB boxes for a couple of years.

1) Artec T1 - Good picture quality / Poor software / Mini Remote limited to 2 foot !! ( maybe i had a bad one ? )

2) Avermedia Avertv usb 2.0 ( My current box ) / Excellent picture Quality / Software seems pretty good / "Man size" ;) remote control

Would def recommend the Avermedia.

Cheers,

Mark

You can get a second-hand Nova-T of ebay for £40.
An excellent no thrills digi-card that does what it says on the tin! (also works well with Media-Center/Media-Portal)

You can get a brand new Nova-T on here for 11pence short of £40.
There have been three versions of the Nova-T pci the first 2 versions did not work with MCE.
IIRC only cards since mid 2004 worked with MCE.

Yeah it depends on what chipset they use, however all versions work superb with Media-portal which imho is miles better than MCE (which I used for a couple of weeks and hated)

Hmmm that Media-Portal looks good (very similar to GBPVR) but will work with my older card, just wonder if I can get it to work with my IMon remote control.
The metal skin looks like it will blend well with my monitor.

Yeah it's the same coders that do XBMC (Xbox Media Center).
It takes a little more initial tweaking/setting up then MCE but once configured it is far better and user-friendly than MCE.
