I have one network card connected to my router which provides Internet, the other is connected via a crossover to an XBOX, I can access both at the same time without disabling one adapter. Both are on the same subnet, is this the problem?

uummmm my bro is bridging his xbox via his pc his pc is connected via wifi to belkin router then from his pc is a cable to xbox all he had to do is enable share this connection in the wifi network tab.

I don't want the XBOX connecting to the Internet through the PC but to access the XBOX via the PC.

oh right well tbh i think u need to connect the xbox to the router and then go into the xbox and click find pc its under the network settings section.

So what's the actual problem or am I being thick.

Are you unable to access the xbox or is the xbox unable to get onto the internet.

I used to use two network cards in my old pc one for the internet and the other to ftp into my xbox.

Only realised around 6 months ago that I could connect both my pc and xbox to a switch and then plug that into my router which is much easier.

If its working then there is no problem.

That should have been can't.

The reason was there was a gateway ip specified on the nic that's crossed over, removed that and its fine now.
