Hey, was just wandering if anybody knew of any games which allow two players to play on one computer.

I currently have two playstation 3 controllers which can be emulated to xbox 360 controllers if this helps?

I've heard of the wii emulator which would be quite good, but I'm sure there will be some games out there...

Cheers in advance,
Oliver

Football games is the obvious one. I used to play ISS (yes, the really old one) against a friend quite a lot.

Emulators work great with it. Soul Calibur 2 in HD was really nice.

Left4Dead can be played split screen with both Xbox controllers and mouse + keyboard, however it needs setting up via console for this, doesn't work 'out of the box' so to speak.

A game the lady and I play is Blur, great arcade racing and is split screen so can use two xbox pads..

Other games:
Lego ones!

I've actually researched this as it's what I wanted to do.
Here's the list of games I've found:

Audiosurf
Beat Hazard
Blur
The House Of The Dead III
Jazz Jacketrabbit 2
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
Most recent NBA Games
Pro Evolution Soccer (and Fifa)
Shadowgrounds (and Survivor sequel)
Split Second
Street Fighter IV
Trine
Virtual Tennis (and probably Top Spin)
(Other sport games)
Worms Reloaded (although alternative go's)

I believe that all the Lego StarWars games, Lego Batman, Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Harry Potter are two player on one machine games as well.

My favs are Virtual Tennis, Jazz Jacketrabbit 2 and from years ago Toca touring cars (the first one)

Of course there are emulators for PS1, SNES, MAME etc. Loads of top games then like Streets of rage and Mario Kart

Deathspank has 2 player same pc mode. One player uses xbox controller, other kb&mse. Very funny action RPG.

The Heroes of Might and Magic series can be played 2 people on 1 computer, however I think that is because it is a turn based game, so player one takes their turn, then when it is player 2 turn they simply take over the controls. Fun games though.

Would it be possible to do something like this over two screens? Sometimes we all get together for a lan party and there's always the numpty who couldn't bring his pc. We have spare monitors just not spare pc's so if we could do split screen over two pc's it would make it much more enjoyable.

Or is there any way to make one pc emulate two pc's so two copies could be run from two seperate steam accounts? Almost like those networks which have the ceneral server which is connected to monitors?

Or could a temporary network be set up on a laptop so that my pc could provide the processing power for the game yet it would display on a laptop monitor?

A friend of mine played mario kart 64 via an emulator on his computer, one person using the kb the other using a controller. I've no idea how he did it though.

I thought it was often possible option to allocate one keypad to the keyboard and another to something else.....
