Type-R FN2?

It has more power (just) but is also heavier and has a different suspension setup.
 
FN2 is a good hot hatch, but my money would go on an EP3. It's no worse than the FN2 and is a considerable amount cheaper. Infact I'm sure the EP3 is quicker round a track...

Also Type R over RX8 too.
 
Plus the rear bench in the Civic is the coolest thing I've ever seen in a hatch back.

Bit OT the rear benches must weigh a fair bit?
 
i'd say that wholly depends on the track

was the fn2 not quicker round the topgear track than the ep3?

fn2 is a much more refined prodcuct than an ep3 and a better allrounder in terms of day to day driving.

IIRC correctly the EP3 was quicker?

I certianly remember Clarkson slatting it saying it was a pointless car.

I agree with this, but then there are other options than the FN2 at this level which are certainly credible alternatives also (GTI, ST etc). That's why if it has to be a civic type R due to power delivery (or whatever) then for me it'd have to be the ep3, if that makes sense.

ep3 just feels faster as it has a more aggressive vtec crossover :) but there really is nothing between them performance wise, the fn2 is just as quick and some would say just as good round the twistied but in a more grown up format

Isnt this going to be the most annoying car possible to own on the Channel Islands?

Can you even get VTEC without breaking the law there?

haha! very good point....



you can get vtec in first gear.. as soon as you knock it into second though :s

from what ive seen, as ive only ever driven one honda, and that was a B18c4, so it didn't have aggressive vtec like a type R.

speed limit is 35. but i have heard talk of the limit going up to 40 around coast areas.


Edit*** upon reading up, it was a B18C4. to be exact.
