Tyre age

Reverse at a reasonable pace, while the car is still going backwards pop it out of reverse and straight into first, 5-6k rpm and dump the clutch. You will stand on the spot making smoke and pretty patterns which is always fun.

This ^ used to have hours of fun doing this making big 'U's in the road! :D

Hi guys,

...

Is it a good idea to buy tyres which have been sat around like that or should I stop being a cheapskate ***** and find the extra 50 quid? It'd also mean the rears would match the fronts as I've got GS-D3's all round atm.

According to a large sign I saw in Kwik-Fit the other day, you should bin tyres over 10yr old. Those GS-D3's will be fine. However, I'd personally go with Eagle F1's as you're next pair almost definatley won't be GS-D3's.
Unless you sell the car before then, you'll eventually be matching! ;)

A car you know nothing about as I got rid of it more than 2 years before you even registered on ocuk, so stop pretending you were around back then ;)

Obviously it cannot compare to the awesomeness of a 1.6 litre Focus or a broken 320i but hey, times were hard when I was 17 ;)

Hey, I did better than you :p

Stop now this is getting petty :D
