Thats a matter of opinion, it was bigger, faster and had more kit :p

Wait,

Diesel Xantia B.C Canal Boat faster than Focus 1.6 2002?

Mondeo 2l RSAP Go faster faster than BMW 320i?

You're only just as fast as me now with that 530i with the same BHP/Tonne.

Kit and size is irrelevent, it's how you use it :D

I really should buy something better, I could buy another MK4 Fiesta like mine every month and still have enough to live on :p (not boasting btw ;))

It only weighed about 1200kg, it wasn't exactly a tank it just handled like one. 0-60 in 11 seconds. Slow, but only Focus 1.6 slow ;)

Slower than the Focus 1.6 then, thank you and good night :D

What did you do in the end fox?

I was just thinking surely your rwd should wear tyres more evenly than my fwd car?

Ive had 2 GSD3's fitted to my rear today as it goes, and where i got them from still has them in stock, so hoping that will still be the case in a months or 2.

The ones I removed were the original dunlops which had kept the arse of the car off the road for 26k miles and 4 years, but were totally knackered, sidewalls on the outside and inside were totally messed up. Not run these new ones in yet but already can feel the stability in the corners is better and the smoothness, the others got quite loud around bends under speed!

Nope, BMs, and probably the majority of fat heavy RWD saloons eat rear tyres with alarming ease. Meanwhile the fronts soldier on. Mine are on 31k and are still no where near the wear blocks, which saddens me as I want some vreds on the the front now.

Oh, that does suprise me actually! In that case then fox would be ok with the older GSD's as they will be worn out before they are splitting with age!

My old e38 was a real tyre muncher, tbh by the time the rears needed swapping, the fronts were pretty shagged also. Thats a near 2 ton car for you in the case of the e38.

My Dads e39 which didn't have the 18's of my 7 is the opposite and great on tyre life.

my dad managed 50,000kms fronts and rears on the dunlop runflats that came with the E60..
he's had it 4 years and only replaced the tyres the other month

although recently he's been driving more and more like an old man and it's 95% motorway miles
