Tyres....

Indeed, there's no better way of assessing a tyres performance. I just find at times that tyres which are proclaimed to be great in these tests turn out to be crap whereas tyres which had a lesser rating performed better in the real world. Because there are better tyres out there than the RE040's, it doesn't mean that they're crap. They're an excellent tyre but depending on prices there may be better for similar money.

Care to suggest where I may find such a list of test results, or otherwise if you know them off the top of your head, fancy suggesting if any from the list above would be considered to be notably better than the others?
 
Ah ok... the brochure I have in front of me says 205/55/R17 next to a picture of the alloys I have, must be a misprint, thought it was odd that's not what my car had on.
