I'm afraid I had my period of open mindness between 14 and 18 and I wore it out.
I was so open minded that I used to sit in the back garden hoping they'd spot and probe me.
32 years on and still nothing concrete so I'll lay a wager here and now.
If in another 32 years they do make contact then I'll donate my guitar collection.

We must keep in mind aliens are, by definition, from another planet.
Their vision (if indeed they use optical vision at all) might work in such a way that what appears blurry to us is absolutely mint for them.

They are probably flying around like OMG WTF at the fact that we don't get it yet.

"silly blurry humans" they say to each other. That's why they abduct the odd cow. To see how it's eyes work. Of course by tailoring their appearance for cow vision, they are still blurry to us.

This will be fixed through the channels of trial & error in time.
 
There is that video knocking around youtube of all those NASA staff "fessing" up about confidential stuff but im not 100% sold. Im with the camp that I do believe that there is life out there, just not little green men with laser beams.
