U.F.O'S

I think the most fascinating thing about ancient aliens has to be the Sumerians and their knowledge of the solar system. To describe the amount of specific knowledge they had about the planets and DNA was bizzare to say the least.

It is indeed a fascinating theory, however most of it is based on "we don't know how people in the past did stuff, so it must be aliens!"

I agree, which is why the AA theory isn't taken that seriously.

But you can't disagree that some of the structures do make you wonder how they were built IF they were man-made. We believe that old civilisations were just full of primitive humans but for all we know they could have been highly intelligent.

The fact is no one really knows if Aliens influenced the human race or if they even created the human race, but i find it more believable then some all powerful being just snapping his fingers and creating the world. I respect peoples view on God but i think people have interpreted the Bible incorrectly.

Space is amazing.

I'm sure at some point since the singularity that caused the big bang creating our universe and many thousands of years ago intelligent life existed but whether they evolved faster than us and visited us or not no one knows and will never know.

What if they found the equation that answers the question on how black holes work? that would be the ultimate holy grail no? Because General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics cover both the super massive and super small scale of the universe but no theory yet governs what happens inside of a black hole because the singularity inside it is small enough to be completely invisible in space yet massive enough to suck in light. All we know is that when a star collapses a black hole is born and that our galaxy has a super massive one in the middle!

Just the technology to analyse/use that kind of power alone would be immense surely.

Whoah :o

Means nothing.
I can come up with a more impressive list of people who believe in God.
My boss is a really clever woman and someone I'm quite envious of.
She has 2 degrees and has just got her Masters after writing a book on Healthcare.
The other day she was telling me theres a spaceship in Cheops Pyramid.
Being clever doesn't mean you're not away with the fairies.

This is the problem with seeing and experiencing things that are not remotely close to the norm.

You are either labelled a nutter, delusional, or it was some kind of trick of the light or illusion.

In actual fact such experiences have as much validity as the day to day experiences we all take for granted. The only difference is that they dont happen as often. The extent of our reasoning is based on "laws" the sum of which is "it has to be consistent and repeatable"

Without a shadow of a doubt we are not alone in the universe. I suspect in the same way we interact and experiment with "lower" lifeforms to our own advantage, other higher lifeforms treat us the same way. My argument against that view though is they would still be bound by the same utilitarian ethics as us so arent really "higher" lifeforms at all. Just another bunch of sickos to join the knowledge-exploitation party.....

I firmly believe in the Ancient Astronaut theory and i'm not joking...

I used to back in the early 70's and I used to read Von Danniken's books religiously until the BBC broadcast a Danniken documentary around 1974.
It took around 10 of Danniken's most amazing facts and showed how he was completely wrong eg

In India there is a pole that never rusts and this is because it's an Alien metal.
Apparently it's made of 2 normal metals that don't rust :)

On the Plains of Nazca there are UFO runways and parking bays.
When the BBC panned out from these parking bays that were shown in the book, the UFOs would have been about 2 foot in diameter :)

Danniken has a way of exaggerating things.

A UFO was captured on camera as a Southport nature enthusiast snapped away at Sunday’s twister.

Father-of-four Pat Regan, 51, of Sandbrook Road, was shocked when he looked at his pictures and noticed the unidentified object to the left of the funnel cloud.

Mr Regan, who runs child care facilities in Formby, was fishing in Rufford Canal with his seven-year-old daughter Jasmine when the twister started.

He said: “I was clinging to a railway bridge holding my camera. I thought the object might have been a police helicopter but when it’s close up, it doesn’t look like one. I’m sceptical about these things but open minded. It’s an oval shape and I would like to know what it is.”

Pat Regan is my mate's Dad! :D

actually ive just started to listen to that video, Poor Eric. He is financially broke and it sounds like he's getting ready for a re release of CotG

How can you be 100% sure? I've got nothing against that view, I'm just interested in how you got to that conclusion.:)

1 out of 1 stars we know about has life on a planet orbiting it.. there are a ~quadrillion stars.. its not 100% sure but its gotta be fairly close :)

my biggest issues with ufo's being alien ships would be

1) I thought our understanding of physics was fairly good, the distances involved are two large, faster than light is not possible, and I think worm hole is just not going to happen.

2) Either they want to been seen in which case why not just park over a city in day light and say hello, or they dont want to be see in which case why however round areas where poeple can take crappy pics (why not go to areas where there are no people)

3) There are a lot of stars how would they have found us?

if they could have overcome 1 and 3 how the hell did they mess up 2?

ive just watched that 1 hour 30 min video, I'm pretty open minded on the whole thing as we simply don't know but having watched it I'm reminded of the blind men and the elephant story.

I think the only way we can get to the bottom of this is to hack in to US military systems and find out what information they have. I can see no problems with this approach at all...
