OK.
I managed to get the SMP client up and running with Ubuntu on VMWare on my X2 4400+.
Everything seems to be working fine - except that the clock on the Ubuntu desktop is running at about 1/5th of the speed it should be
According to FAH I'm doing a frame in just over 2 mins (I wish) but in reality, it's about 10 or 11 mins.
Also, the ubuntu running under VMWare seems to be very jumpy and a bit slow to respond.
Anybody have any idea WTF is going on?

The stomach cramps and Diarrhoea today, indicate it was more of a problem than I thought. I'm off to bed to feel sorry for myself and hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow and can get all this stuff done - try to make up for all the lost production thanks to BT's silly home hub.
