UE4 Elemental tech demo available for download

According to gamestracker ut2004 is the most populated, followed by ut99 then the rather dead ut3.

NOOOOO! say it ain't so!!:(:p

I think the demos give us an idea of how UT4 could look:cool: it looks like Fortnight will be our first real chance to see the new engine in full force under Epics own development. From what I've seen it looks like it could be fun:) but would rather see another unreal Title:(:)

Not sure if you guys have seen this? Someone has put together a showcase for Bioshock in UE4:cool:

More a showcase for lighting effects but still very well done I think:)

In case you guys missed the announcement:eek:

UNREAL TOURNAMENT

It begins it's evolution today:cool::D

EPIC+COMMUNITY+PC,MAC,LINUX+FREE=AWESOME!!!!

AWWWWW YEEEEEEAAHHH!!!!!!

They've said free means free too, no micro transactions, no pay to win. Said to be going back to its roots of a fast paced skill shooter. Can't wait!!! :D

Just imagine the possibilities from the mod community? We could essentially have any map from any game, ever!!

I remember a really good Lego mod for ut3, hope that gets a revamp :p

I downloaded it and havent got the elemental demo

I have

EffectsCave
RealisticRendering
Reflections

Temple Mobile

I downloaded EU4_Demos.rar - 916mb

Thought I would record it and show what performance was like on my system with everything at stock (including the CPU). Titan X + 3930K

Looks good and flings along nice and smooth. Now bring on the games.

Elemental demo in DX12 seems lacking to me, the lighting seems like the downgraded version from the PS4 demo. But i think the initial version was using their sparse-voxel-octree global illumination which is far superior to the pre baked lighting. Their global illumination would most likely work fine with DX12 now.

The performance seems good, although the lens flares are completely broken. But then UT4 (4.9) still only has early DX12 support, but still good from the looks.

Just no comparison to the original in terms of the lighting quality.

There is issues with lens flare but being DX12, I kinda expect the odd fail. On the whole though it ran very well and very smooth (recording at 30 fps loses that).
