There is issues with lens flare but being DX12, I kinda expect the odd fail. On the whole though it ran very well and very smooth (recording at 30 fps loses that).

Like this.

I noticed that and thought WTF?

Doesn't do it if you use the CMD No V-SYNC link

Does it default to your native resolution?

No. I have to duplicate screens when recording, as it see's my capture card as another monitor (a 1080P 30 fps monitor at that) so when I ran it on my native 1440P monitor, I got the same frames as recording at 1080P.

Hmmm... it seems to be running at 4k for me. Granted my only method of varification was to take a screenshot and pull it up. It was my native res. I only ask because if it's not and it looks this crystal clear then I can't imagine how it would look at higher res :D

It might be stretching the image but frames were the same for me at 1080P and 1440P

Ok confirmed it is running at 4k for me... I was wondering why everyone else was getting such higher fps LOL.

Once the demo starts you can hit the ~ key and type SetRes 3840x2160 or whatever you want and boom. Mine was already at 4k but when I put it at 1080p I was getting almost 80fps on a single 290. :D At 2160p I get between 20 and 30 with a few hard drops to 14 lol.

Also I noticed it runs better in dx11 for me than dx12 to which I've seen others (not here yet) notice a similar issue.

Didn't realise this was an old thread. I was wondering why so many people wanted a new Unreal Tournament and didn't know about the one in development.

That will be because the DX12 code is still in development, it is only an early release in the 4.9 version of UT4.

But remember, real dx12 benchmark on 13th for ashes of singularity alpha.

According to gamestracker ut2004 is the most populated, followed by ut99 then the rather dead ut3.

I still play unreal2k4. I never really got into bf or cod games its unreal for me all day. Its so fast paced and slick and I love how fast it goes from desktop to full on deathmatch. Its like double click skip intro double click again and your away. If iv got a free 15mins...

Lots of good players still on it too. Your doing well to finnish top 5!

Apart from the rocks falling down and the destructible landscape I didn't think much of this. Maybe im not doing it right but the lightning was awful and textures look block up close.

DX12 ran worse and was a jittery stuttering mess tho it was roughly 60/70fps average, low 50s min. DX11 was more like 80 average.

I'm with you. Nothing in this made my jaw drop like the kite demo did. In fact, I felt a little depressed that this is next gen.

Surprised DX12 ran worse on your Fury.

On my GTX 970 it ran 120fps average, low 70fps min.

I dunno mate it ran fine on dx11 I didn't actually bench it tho just saw it covering around the 80 mark most of the time. Dx12 was smooth for you?

demo favours nvidia heavily ;)
my fury was running very smooth during that demo. FPS was around 100 or so.
