Longer it goes on without Liverpool scoring the more Real will do everything they can to slow the game down, both sporting and un-sporting. If Liverpool score first then Real wont be able to do that and pressure will be on in case Liverpool nick a late one and win on away goals

The attack with him in it is a lot more fluent than the attack without him. We could barely get the ball to our strikers after he went off against Villa. Yes, he misplaces some passes and he's no longer the exceptional player he once was, but he's still the best player we have in that role
