We do invite the pressure when going up though. Not just last night. Onana was at fault for two goals but he didn't concede the free kicks.

No team doesn't concede freekicks, that is not player bottling. It's one of the toughest away trips in Europe, we were hardly going to have the ball in their half 100% of the time.

Thats not the issue. You will concede free kicks, shots from outside the box and corners. Those are not really considered high risk problems.
The issue is that Onana spilled two easy saves and cost us two goals. 3-0 up and there is no pressure. 3-1 there is some pressure. 3-2 there is a lot of pressure. 3-3 and you are hanging on.
Thats why you can't afford to have your keeper making such basic mistakes. Games ebb and flow on chance conversion. If you cannot depend on your keeper to save simple shots then you are never in control of a game. You will probably see teams start taking far more pot shots against Onana now as well.
While Onana chucking them in clearly doesn't help, Utd concede far too many attempts on goal. Quickly checking livescore on my phone, Utd faced 63 shots in the 4 games against Galatasaray and Copenhagen. That's nuts. In comparison City faced just 18 in 4 games vs Leipzig and Young Boys.
That’s how I think about it. The poor guys nerves must be in bits with that.

Yes you can quite rightly blame Onana but when we go 1-0 up we just invite the pressure on. It is almost as if the players have a mental block and just collapse.
Everton did it the other night. We were just very lucky they couldn't finish.
We lost three games in the Champions League whilst being 2-0 up in all of them which is just unacceptable.
Hasnt he had a stinker in each one of those games?

He was okay in the Copenhagen game but when Rashford got sent off we just collapsed.
