UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [3rd - 5th May 2022]

Never in doubt :o

As bad as we were in that first half, that was the first half of a side that's played 100 games and 10 in the last week. I wondered whether Klopp would have given Robertson the night off tonight because he's played so much football of late and plays with so much intensity, eventually it was going to show and it really showed today. Villareal looked so much fresher and done to us what we done to them in the first leg, pinning us back and winning every 2nd ball. Second half we were excellent though. Everybody will talk about Diaz and with good reason because he is and was outstanding but collectively we were so much better. We took control of the game and played our game and it was only a matter of time before the first goal came and once we got that it knocked the stuffing out of them.

And loving watching Michael Owen standing alongside Crouch, Ferdinand, VVD and that tit Jake Humphrey.

We will play every single game possibly available to us, will very likely break the record for the most wins in all comps from a side in a single season but we could still walk away with just 1 trophy. I hope that won't be the case but it's the sad reality of how the smallest margins decide honours these days. Gone are the days of winning titles with 79 points.
