UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [4th - 6th March 2025]

Incoming 'Van Disney' posts :D

Gravy and Macca are all over the place along with Konate and Robbo
Tie should be over

I know but would've seemed a harsh straight red i feel

It might feel harsh but I don’t think there is any other punishment that can be considered commensurate to the lost chance. The double jeopardy when in the box accounts for the punishment of a penalty but outside, there isn’t that.

Inside the box there is no effort to play the ball there either so still probably a red :D?

Be reds all day if those are given. Player went down like he'd be hit with a trampoline

Dom has just done two shoulders in the back since the Konate one and the PSG players didn't go down, mainly because those were in no mans land

That isn’t seriously an argument is it? In the modern game a foul doesn’t require much and if a player goes down from that sort of shove in the back it’s a foul. Every time.

How he’s got away with that is beyond me. I assume they just bottled it because it’s early in such a big game.

We’re going to get punished, the amount of times we’ve given the ball away is criminal, we need to take the chances that come our way.

Been 3 pushes, shoulders in the back by Liverpool since, why didn't the PSG players go down then?

Because they were not running full pace at the time. Because it was more beneficial to try and stay up. 90% of fouls the player could have stayed on their feet but there is usually little benefit to do that and they are fouls.
