UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [8th - 10th March 2022]

The scoreline flatters Inter not that it matters. We should be 3 ahead at least.
Man United should have been 4 up vs Watford. xG doesn't always win matches. Regardless Pool haven't been at their best but that are still well ahead of most teams and a chasm apart from my team. Pretty much everyone is a baller, Matip mmm maybe not but they are so much more comfortable in the ball than must have United's players. Trent and Robertson barely have to play as full backs with cover they get from the rest of the team.

Anyway you're through and that's all that matters.

Matip is the don!

That was closer than it needed to be. I didn't think we done too badly in all honesty. There might have been a lack of urgency in our performance which the first leg lead probably caused but we controlled the game, maybe not creating tonnes of chances but a fair few and restricted Inter to pretty much nothing. Our failure to take those chances (similar to the West Ham game) meant that we were always slightly at risk of them scoring a goal out of nothing but all in all, I thought we done ok.

The ref had a bit of a mad one. One minute he's giving absolutely nothing and then next he's giving free-kicks and yellows for next to nothing. Pretty much the only decisions he got right were the 2 yellows for Sanchez and even the first possibly could have been a red.

How dare you! The guy is the ultimate baller. There isn't a CB in the League that strolls out of the back with the ball at his feet as comfortably or effectively as Matip.

Matip is better then any of Uniteds cbs by a distance btw.

Im not saying XG does but its like weve been battered and luckily won that game. Inter scored with an absolute worldy...thats it. They didnt create a whole lot and they are the Italian champions lmao. Were we at our best tonight? Absolutely not but we hit the woodwork three times and missed a couple of sitters.

We are through and that is all that matters but this isnt luck and it flatters Inter massively imo. Did they even have a shot from 60 onwards?

Ferdinand is probably the most useless 'pundit' there is, the guy hasn't got a clue about anything. He's been chatting **** for years

Ref should have booked half the PSG team there. 5 of them literally about 6 inches from his face and surrounding him.

Vinicius Jr doesn’t get half of the attention he deserves, same age as Haaland as well. Front three of those two and Mbappe would be amazing to watch.

He seems to have forgotten he’s Brazilian though. Neymar would have suffered 2 career threatening injuries with the challenges Vinicius has ridden.
