UEFA Champions League 2010/11 Matchday 5 *** Spoilers ***

"Clichy, Arshavin, Van Persie miss Braga trip

"And Van Persie [will not travel] so he can improve his fitness because he is back in the squad but is not 100 per cent fit at the moment - I mean his physical condition to fight in a top-level game.

arghhhhh ffs! If we lose this game i will seriously RAGE!

OH great. Well I guess I can at least hope that Bendtner or even Walnut start ahead of hair boy. I'd like to see a 4-4-2 with Vela and Walcott up front, would be interesting. :D

This could get interesting then...

I am guessing it will be something like a back four with Eboue, Squillaci, Koscielny and Gibbs, a midfield of Denilson, Wilshere and Eastmond and a front 3 of Rosicky, Chamakh and Walcott. I wonder who he will play in goal, I would pick szczesny, perfect opportunity for him to get some euro experience.

How are Inter doing in the group after a loss, they aren't top anymore, cba'd to look it up, 9 points adrift to AC Milan, losing away from home to Chievo, is Benitez getting close to being fired, would another loss in the CL push the owners over the edge if qualifying for the highly profitable knock out stages starts looking unlikely?

EDIT:- Just read Eto'o got a 3 match ban for a headbutt he did in the loss to Chievo, so 9 points off the top, biggest rivals looking to replace them at top of the league and now their leading scorer with a 3 match ban.

As for Szczesny, is it true the new 5 year deal we put him on, after a single first team appearance so far, was 30k a week? If so we better start playing him and sell Almunia or send him off on loan in Jan.

If we start Wilshire in the all important reserve team CL appearance but refused to play him against Spurs I'll be pretty peeved to be honest.

Chamakh needs dropping frankly, for 4-5 games he's been pathetic, yes he got 2 in basically the first and last minute a week ago, but inbetween he was pretty awful for 90 minutes. Too often players look fantastic in their first 10 games, then their "real" form starts to show. Bendtner/RVP need some match fitness so should really be getting some game time aswell as getting form, Bendtners got 2 and set up a couple in a few sub appearances, RVP is just quality. Playing Chamakh would be a waste, not least because he's playing like he's the only choice and can't be bothered at the moment.

Lets get the points out of Rangers and then we can sit back and go through the motions against Valencia.

Looks like Vidic, Rio and Fletcher have all been given the night off tomorrow (according to the BBC) - with Smalling and Evans deputising for Utd's main CH pairing

I know we have blackburn at the weekend and then West Ham away (CC QF) but its a bit bizarre to have all three of those players rested on the verge of qualification for the next round

Fergie hasnt gone and promised Rangers three points for some reason has he?:D

I think Smalling deserves a start anyway but it is a surprise that both Rio and Vidic are being rested.

Think we'll go like this;

GK: PIG

RB: Brown
CB: Smalling
CB: Evans
LB: O'Shea

RM: Nani
CM: Carrick
CM: Scholes
LM: Giggs

CF: Rooney
CF: Berbatov

I never try to pick Fergie's teams nowadays :/

I'll take a point, as long as it's a better game than the one at OT :/

Interesting stadium braga have...

Yes, that's a mountain behind the goal!

Aye I remember it for a recent Euro Championships. Didn't realise that was Braga's one.

Edit - players are such pussies these days, first there's those scarves, now outfield players are wearing full leg thermals as well.
