UEFA Champions League/Europa League 1/2/3 May *** Spoilers ***

Terrible decisions by the ref tonight, which part of Italy was he from?! Glad to see an English team in the final though, hope they can do it as I like Klopp too.

Same one who let them back into the tie last week i assume.
De Rossi kicking out and not walking was shocking, i agree

Christ this is boring.

Final will be a totally different game to tonight, one off game and Liverpool play better as the underdogs, if they play to their first leg City and Roma form then they'll take a lot of beating.

Either team could get smashed in the final, that’s how ruthless and bad the attacks and defence can be respectively, unlikely for Real though as they’ve been there and we’ll be bricking it. First 20 minutes could be survival

Hoping Liverpool will be able to get some rest before the final, maybe it was because of how 'safe' the game was technically, but they definitely didn't look full of energy tonight.

The issue is, they do need to try and get top 4 incase things don't go to plan in Kiev...

This. Of all the teams to face Real was the only one I wasn't confident of facing in the final. They'll feel at home and we'll be bricking it for the first 20 as you say. We desperately need an early goal because this team don't do comebacks.

Two weeks between the final game of the season and the final. Plenty of time to rest after we secure top 4.

Such a weird tournament this year, whilst both semi's have been entertaining the quality of football has been pretty abysmal at times especially in the Liverpool/Roma tie. Some of the defending has been laughable to put it nicely, absolute madness to see such consistent levels of sloppiness in the semi finals of Europes elite competition. Long may it continue though as it makes for good viewing.

Roma were unlucky that game, djeko was not offside in the first half and 2 more penalties not given.

Oh well, hopefully Madrid show up in the final, can't wait :D

Hope we can get a draw at the bridge on sunday to give the team a rest when playing brighton.
Chelsea have to win the game so they'll hopefully leave space for us to exploit but our energy levels over the last few games, Roma at Anfield aside, are concerning. I think it'll go down to the last game of the season :(

This gets boring tbh but before any goals were scored De Rossi kicked out at Salah. That's a red card. Their penalty last week was laughable and theu scored a freaky own goal.

Liverpool eased through tonight like they did against City

English team in the final, I expect a few TV companies are kicking themselves now that only BT have the coverage (even more so if Arsenal make it into the other final)

So lucky every team we’ve played against have had a shocker

Nah, you are a good team and you have played well and you are good at punishing mistakes. Man City didn’t exactly play well against you over 2 legs and who else have you played that is top class?

Also implying real need a shocker for us to win is beyond daft, but your posts have been a bit rife with lemons discrediting anything during this tie :D

Do you really think you are as good as Madrid? Also, it’s a bit rich saying I’m blinkered when according to Liverpool fans on here Roma have been lucky and gifted goals and Liverpool just took them to pieces when they scored. Roma were suicidal in the first leg[/quote]

Here’s hoping they have a shocker and they put a star beside our win noting we weren’t actually any good :D

Let’s hope so eh

Also don’t bother trying to rationalise anything, your post about you find any Liverpool fan you’ve met unlikeable says a lot, imagine have a predisposed disliking of people because they watch a football team, yikes

I think you have that the wrong way around. I haven’t disliked them because they are Liverpool fans, I’ve disliked them because they are idiots that just happen to support Liverpool.

Anyway, it’s all speculation until the end of may. Let’s wait until then and I’m sure that one of us will be gloating unbearably. :)

I'm not triggered at all. I'm enjoying watching the Mancs squirming, desperately searching for excuses already.

All part of the game of football, you must be a new Liverpool fan?

Nobody is squirming, nothing wrong with wanting Liverpool to lose, same goes you guys not wanting United to win matches.

Started supporting them at the start of the CL run and loving it. And oh they are squirming. Every other post from a few of you has been Porto were terrible, City were terrible, Roma were terrible, Ronaldo is going to save us in the final. You're right, it's part of the game and I'm enjoying it :p

As terrible as some of you think all the teams we've played have been, as lucky as some think we've been, as great as Real Madrid have been, I'll tell you something for certain, we've got a much better chance of winning the CL than Utd have :p
