UEFA Champions League/Europa League 1/2/3 May *** Spoilers ***

What a ridiculous aggregate scoreline, especially as Roma had very little attacking threat across both legs.

Liverpool have done well, I hope Real Madrid thrash them in the final, but I'm not confident...!

It is 80% Real, 20% Liverpool. Before the City - Liverpool game, I knew Liverpool would cause much troubles and they did, plus the bad referee that decided the game in Manchester.
But for Real, I have another feeling and don't expect any miracles from Liverpool.
TBH, City - Real would be a much better final in the CL.

City now have 93 points in the League, if they win the next three games, that means all time record of 102 season points

Liverpool should not fear Real whatsoever. They're no great shakes and are weak at the back. Ronaldo was kept quiet in Munich and our front three, you can't keep all three of them quiet. Ramos will be bricking it, as will whoever Zidane picks to go up against Robertson.

Personally on performance and form I would edge Liverpool as favourites but on pure will to win and that damnable ability to get a result no matter what you would fancy Real.

Irrespective of favourites it should be an interesting, high scoring final but hopefully Liverpool will come out on top!

The usual crazy ticketing policy for European finals - in a 70,000 capacity stadium, the two finalists will receive 16,626 tickets each!

Once you take away players allocations, execs & staff, sponsors and priority rights given to old shareholders, there will be not much more than 10,000 tickets going to supporters :/

And many of the sponsors, travel packages etc won't even be to fans of either team either. Such a shame but it's the corporate nature of football these days.

There will be a lot more than 10,000 (or even 16,000) Liverpool fans there. I'm not sure exactly how many tickets but UEFA done a ballot sometime around the quarter finals which anybody could enter - most of these tickets will be touted for £1k+ and even the tickets given to UEFA's 'football family' or whatever they call it now (UEFA sponsors etc), will end up being sold on. I wouldn't be surprised if there were over 45,000 Liverpool fans in the ground.

There are some absolutely mental anti-Liverpool posters on here. I'm a United fan so I have every reason to dislike Liverpool but despite some questionable defending they fully deserved to beat Roma and City and get to the final.

It will be a fascinating final. Real have been to several of them so their players shouldn't be nervous, whereas I can imagine Liverpool's younger players in particular could be very nervous. I wouldn't be that surprised to see Real target Alexander-Arnold. He didn't play great tonight and he's one of the guys who might feel the occasion in the final. Liverpool will have to survive the opening twenty minutes and go from there.

One thing that I think potentially makes Real a tough matchup is that their defenders are fast. Varane in particular is one of the quickest CBs in world football, so Liverpool might struggle to utilise the pace of the front three as much as usual. I think the battle between the full backs could be key. If Robertson can make some of the runs he did tonight he could really cause some problems, particularly if Carvajal doesn't play.

I hope Liverpool win, I hate how entitled and arrogant Real Madrid are, both the club itself and the fanbase.

Did our best to blow it last night, but we are through to the final, the only thing that matters :)

Don't think I have ever been so nervous watching a football match in my life :p

Well said :)

I have a problem with Madrid and their Galactico's too. Did you see they all had 'to number 13' t shirts on under their kit last night?? Utter arrogance. I'd absolutely love us to give them a stuffing. I know it'll be very tough though :(

Madrid are great but love how anti Liverpool people come out in spades it seems claiming we're lucky due to decisions.... Madrid have had a **** ton go there way over last 3 wins in Europe

Bit of an odd game last night in that there were 6 goals and Roma were only a goal shy of levelling matters. But it was not exciting really as for me Liverpool never looked in any sort of trouble.

I never thought Liverpool would not make the final after they grabbed the 2 away goals, especially going in at half time 2 1 up. Liverpool never panicked or looked uncomfortable, depsite the final score they were never in any bother.

With regard the final... normally I would like to see an English team win but I come into contact with a few of "those" Liverpool fans (a minority but omg...) that would just be unbearable if they were to win.

So I guess let the best team win (just not Liverpool lol..). To be honest though I think Madrid will win. Even if they do not play well they will find a way, get good fortune, bad decisions that go in their favour or simply cheat! :p

Liverpool are one of the best teams I’ve ever seen going forward

They are also the WORST team I’ve ever seen defensively. It’s embarassing

The final is going to be incredibly high scoring, Real will tear Liverpool apart at the back and Ronaldo will score for fun. But Liverpool will also get chances all night long.

Loads of these were about last night....they seem to forget how Roma got back into the tie in the first leg...a dreadful penalty decision. De Rossi should have walked in the first half last night for his little kick out at Salah as well.

I can't stand Liverpool but definitely rooting for them in the final. I am hoping for Real to go 2-0 up, then Liverpool go on to win it. Lots of matched betting profit and a British team winning the CL :D. It's likely neither of these things will happen :p.

Putting my normal allegiances aside :) I am pleased for Liverpool. They play some great football and I quite like Jurgen Klopp. I do wonder though, is he is a winner? For football's sake lets hope he is but I have my doubts that his lack of tactical awareness in defensive situations could lead to them being undone by Madrid's ability to perform on the big stage and manage a game. Mourinho frustrates massively at times but there is no way we would have had a team run it as close as Liverpool did last night. Anyway - good luck to them in the final,

Mourinho got his team knocked out to Sevilla so no, he wouldn't have run it close. His team wouldn't scored 7 in two games either.

It reminded me a lot of the 4-3 game vs City earlier in the season. The final scoreline makes it seem close but we were comfortable throughout with Roma always a few goals behind until the final seconds. Going into the 2nd half with Roma needing 4 goals without reply, just to force extra time, probably took the edge off our performance and a lot of players were already looking towards the weekend or even the final. Our counter attacking in the 2nd half was probably as bad as I've seen it all season - we had so many opportunities on the break but there was a clear lack of focus or killer instinct and the attacks fizzled out.

Our defence is bonkers - it's either all or nothing. We string together a number of clean sheets and everybody says our defence is much improved then we'll conceded 3 goals in 20 minutes just to keep you on your toes. If you look at the goals we've conceded of late there's been a pattern - we've been conceding silly goals when comfortably ahead in games and that screams of one thing, complacency. That said, if you look at the goals we conceded yesterday - 1 was a freak og, a screamer from 20+ yards and a penalty that never was. Anyway I have no problem in conceding a couple of sloppy goals in the final if it means we were 4 or 5 goals up at that point :p

There is one slight flaw to this argument - Mourinho's team would have never been so many goals ahead to begin with.

There was some comments like this after the first leg, how Mourinho's sides would never have conceded those two late goals and somebody responded with a stat that Mourinho hasn't been 5-0 up in a game for over 3 years where as Liverpool have been 4 times just in this CL run.

It's terrible. Back in 11 there was a measly 5000 pool for wembly tickets. Not even enough to go round for season ticket holders either! It was all done on how many away games you went to even if you had a season ticket.
