UEFA Champions League/Europa League 1/2/3 November *** Spoilers ***

its amazing how Utd can be relying on the dross in central midfield apart from one promising (maybe even very promising) youngster or a No10 out of position

(not including Pogba or Morrison, simply because they havent even started a 1st team match yet)

If the general performance of the team had been a lot better, and scored more - I can gaurentee Rooney in CM would be looking a lot happier. Admittedly he gave the ball away nr Utd's penalty area once, but a shaky Evans, a faltering Rio cant help the situation imo

Spurs team to face Rubin
Cudicini; Fredericks, Bassong, Gallas, Townsend; Falque, Carroll, Livermore, Pienaar; Defoe, Pavlyuchenko. Subs: Gomes, Stewart, Nicholson, Parrett, Pritchard, Kane, Lancaster.

Only heard of 3 of the bench, and 1 is Gomes!

Good to see Gallas and Pienaar back though, Carroll, livermore and falque all very promising. Townsend wont make the cut and I havnt heard of fredericks but have it on good information he isnt a bad player, but very young!

score draw or a lose, I dont expect us to win.

Townsend has looked decent when I've seen him, usually see him on the wing rather than full back though. Seen less of Fredericks but again usually in midfield, which raises eyebrows having no natural fullbacks available until you realise Corluka and Rose are injured and we have 3 right backs out on loan!

I think this will be a stern test and I'm not that confident of victory unless Carroll and Livermore really click as a pairing.

I didn't watch it in the end, the stats suggest Spurs were gash and didn't create any chances though. I'm guessing Livermore and Carroll didn't click that well.

aye Talk Sport news just said "Spurs lost 1 - 0 with Cudicini making a string of great saves... etc"

(didn't watch it either tho)

cudicini kept us in it, we were creating nothing tbh but the goal they scored was from a free kick that we should never have given away. we are progressing well though considering the team we have used so far.

Crikey, that was a good save. Been a fantastic game to watch this, good to see if they can carry this form into the weekend!

Decent result for us tonight against Brugge. We were completely outplayed in the 1st half but we came good in the 2nd. 3 teams on 7 points so should be an interesting last 2 games.
