Not exactly silencing the 'one man team' critics about Spurs is it this game
Don't think anyone should give Adebayor more than a 2 month contract, he only bothers trying when he's after a new deal!
The ridiculous thing is Arsenal can be forgiven for not knowing that, but every team he's forced a move to since should know better. That is why buying Adebayor was a massive mistake from the get go, this was always what was going to happen, happened at Arsenal, City, Real and Spurs in so far as, on loan at both he upped his game when trying to get the move, while he hadn't been remotely bothered about his football before the loans.
This is like the umpteeth team in European competition to "give up" and not bother playing while they think they can win, and almost screw it up. Milan didn't bother playing at Barca, got done, Bayern didn't bother playing at home, almost got done, Spurs haven't bothered playing... have given up the biggest league but still "just" in it. Real and Utd both during a game after taking the league stopped playing to win it.
I do understand that motivation in a game where you're so far ahead and the other team was so poor in the first leg is actually a big issue, but its still pathetic and unprofessional and very poor management not to hammer the need for a simple win into the players before kick off. Real/Utd was a different scenario, but both teams attitudes once they went ahead in the tie was horrendous.
The team Spurs picked though, Ade and Defoe, stupid, Walker, again despite being terrible in essentially every game for 2 years, he's just rubbish, completely rubbish. Just a daft team with too many poor or lazy players which is a terrible combination for a game like this. No one should even put Ade on the bench for a game that needs motivation, work rate and concentration.
I've also failed to see Holtby do anything since joining Spurs despite all the talk about enthusiasm and running around a lot, he looks a bit cack.
