UEFA Champions League/Europa League 13/14/15 March *** Spoilers ***

Gerrard showing an impressive level of restraint in the studio here, I bet he's over the moon. Agree with him slating the players though, they're crap.

Wheres carragher at?

You know what's the craziest thing, had Utd played at home first and drew 0-0, I'd have fancied Utd to go through more than today. Mourinho was scared of Sevilla getting an away goal today and being in a position where he had to chase the game. Had roles been reversed he'd have been happy to sit back knowing Sevilla would have taken the game to Utd and they could play on the break.

Even though he'd set us up to hit long balls to Fellaini at the back post (which is genuinely awful), we didn't even manage to do that right.

I really don't get it, I understand being afraid of teams who can cause you big problems, but our "normal" team would have been good enough tonight... then again, not if they performed like that.

Not surprised Utd are out, poor Sanchez no CL glory or games for him anymore :p.

I honestly thought Utd would have beaten Sevilla at home :/.

Bye bye Utd...

I hope he gets an extended contract.

:D:p:D

He already did, to 2020 at least, which sounds like it has option for another year or two. I have no idea how he does it, he came in and Utd's football has been dire, okay they won the europa cup but any 'big' team should walk the Europa with no trouble. He also did badly in the league in achieving that yet gets rewarded with more money and another contract extension. On the other hand Guardiola who made a monumental improvement in the style of City's football last year even if they didn't win in europe or the league the progress was clear as day, the football was increasingly entertaining and great to watch, the progress of players was huge.

This year with over half the season gone Guardiola's stance is why sign a contract now, reward me with a new contract when I've actually won something that matters, not before hand. It's a great attitude, Mourinho cares more about getting money and securing a contract even though after every contract extension his teams have fallen apart and it's cost clubs massively in paying him off.

Now if he won the league last year that is one thing, but doing poorly in the league, making little progress in quality of football this year despite more massive spending, playing worse football as the season goes on, most players getting worse over time under him and UTd are giving him a new contract, it's crazy to me.

He's stayed no where long and been completely unable to make any of his teams last more than a few years before turning to hell but Utd want him on a long term contract despite zero evidence of improved football?

The next round, poor Sevilla will be out too.
If Pool get the lucky draw to play with Barcelona :D, they will be very quickly out too :D

Hey at least he isn't gouging someone in the eye unprovoked :D Or doing worse than Moyes in the CL

This is true. The performances over the two legs are undefendable. Fellaini nearly gave a penalty away on Saturday and tonight he starts.

I’ve said it before we’ve become long ballers, rather than a team that plays football..
