I don't mind that he gives the odd ball away, it's the fact he rarely looks like he cares about it that is infuriating. RVP had that vibe at times but he delivered much more than Ozil has so far.

Fair play to Monaco but they were there for the taking tonight and Arsenal just didn't do enough.

Except for the coming back like a train part, yes. Arsenal dominated tonight but Monaco were shocking. People said Monaco were brilliant in the first leg, they weren't, they were dire, we were just that much worse. A team wanting to win the CL could and should have utterly smashed Monaco here 5-0 or more. Monaco have no pace and appear to have the fitness levels of your average english non league side... although I might be doing non league sides a disservice there.

First leg 90% of Monaco's attempts to break were two guys hobbling up the field at 5mph waiting for and getting no support at all. We did more with the ball and looked less awful by a long way tonight, but by no means good. We were given possession, gifted chance after chance and scored two goals eventually.

Bayern played like they knew they were through against us in 1st gear and had we genuinely looked better they'd have stepped up a gear. Milan, same deal except they had more and better chances in the second leg, that particular game was much closer to them winning by a bigger margin than us drawing or even winning.

Same every year.. but it's a coincidence, I've been told many times we were great and almost got through to the next round when I say we get smashed in the first leg and against teams barely awake still can't do enough in the second leg. How many times in a row does this need to happen before Arsenal fans stop deluding themselves that we almost went through against Bayern/Milan/Barca and now Monaco, ***** slapped in the first leg... still not good enough in the second leg.
