UEFA Champions League/Europa League 17/18/19 March *** Spoilers ***

Ah well, same old.

Aint that the truth, feel like Arsenal are in Groundhog Day.

1) Start well in PL
2) Progress reasonably comfortably in CL group stage
3) Wheels come off PL in Jan/Feb in part due to a heap of injuries
4) Lose CL last 16 match
5) Rally a bit to claim 4th place in PL

I don't blame Wenger much as Arsenal is being run as a business more than a football club right now and that means for every good player we gain we have to lose another.

I do wish he'd instil a bit more attacking instinct rather than trying to pass the ball into the net. We score some great goals but not enough simple or scrappy ones which is what keep the better teams winning even when they play badly.

I blame Wenger. The same old crap, year in year out. I'm at the end of my extremely frayed tether with it. If Ancelotti is available in the summer. Wenger needs to do the decent thing and step aside.

But he wont, because he's a senile old **** who is literally robbing us of 8m a year.

I don't think this can be used as an excuse over the last couple of seasons - Wenger has made quite a large net spend but hasn't invested in the correct players. If I were an arsenal fan I would be blaming him!

I think Arsenal could quite easily get second this year. That would be progress (if it happens). It does seem to a non-Arsenal fan that like their squad has improved over the last few years.

If Arsenal, United or Liverpool get second it won't be because of their own quality it will be because of Citys slip up so I wouldn't take it as a sign of Arsenal etc improving.

Indeed, and its not like they've actually challenged for the title and fallen back into second, which would've been an improvement.

They also still have to play Liverpool, Chelsea and Utd, which if results dont go their way, could easily seem them drop into 5th.
