He was rolling around waving his arms about as if he'd broken his leg. He's made a miraculous recovery though and appears fine now.
 
Lazio haven't impressed me at all, typical Italian team who have rode their defensive luck several times. Spurs should have won this.... nobody to blame, just unlucky.
 
Apart from the last minute goals we conceded in our opening 2 home games I havent really seen anything I dont like about Spurs so far this season, I actually think AVB is properly suited to the Spurs philosophy of football.
 
Spurs were robbed.

They'll go far in the Europa Cup though. Should manage at least Q finals. Liverpool on the other hand...lol no squad depth means they'll fail once more.

yeh i like the way we look. lloris looked good even though he didn't have much to do. apart from one bad call, his decision making was good and he's quick and a very good catcher and his distribution is much better than friedel's. he needs a prem start very soon. dembele and sandro don't have much creativity but they rarely get bullied off the ball and have a good understanding of one another. naughton looked a lot better too and lennon is playing very well.

we scored 3 goals tonight, 2 should've counted.

Problem is we look like conceding goals once the clock hits 85 mins.... teams like Man Utd always look like scoring, that's the difference.

0-85 mins Spurs are CL quality
85+ we're Pontins League mentality
 
Interesting match. We still lack fluency and relaxation in attack but it is improving. We have gone from not knowing how to work the tactics to sort of understanding to trying to implement.

Hopefully we will find our fluency and start scoring. Yes we got the ball in the net 3 times , two were offside (and correctly so) and the corner should have stood. We were not actualky shooting much though.
I hope we can find some goals against quality opposition soon.

that's a problem. we need to be putting chances away. we dominated that game at times and ok, the officials robbed us but we have played better than the other team again and not won. we're the yang to man uniteds ying :D
 
Can't believe all this nonsense I've read about how well the Liverpool young side played etc!

a) it was against a poor opposition

b) the side contained a £7m full back, a £7m centre half, a 38 time capped England international centre half, a loanee midfielder who cost £8m, two £16-18m midfielders and a £15m substitute forward.

I think people need to look at the bigger picture somewhat - Rodgers is just looking to ease the pressure, ahead of the weekend's defeat....
