Tie probably over.
On another night them two shots by Cisse would have gone in. But we gave it a goget another away goal to at least give us a chance at home.
Agreed, disappointing tonight but we're not out of it just yet…

Personally I think Krul made it easier than it should have been from the backpass, had he stayed on the goal line, there was another CB there, he basically rushed out and forced him to make his move early and shoot before anyone had time, had he stayed on his line still may have been a goal, but would have had more cover and better position when actually making the save.
I think Cisse was also better than normal in his all around game but the potential second goal was a pretty poor shot straight at the keeper before the deflection almost let it go in off the post and the potential third goal, he had so much time and space and wasn't forced to go for the far post with that chip due to keeper being so far out, frankly it was a poor miss as he should have been going for the middle of the goal, or just taken it round the keeper.
Tie is no where near out of reach, but would clearly have been easier without Taylor/Santon, the latter I never thought too much of, the former can be great but utterly stupid with those situations. That was a fast ball, at difficult to control height, had he not handballed that it wasn't going to be an easy chance for the guy behind him, his off the line handballs, while hilarious, are just as stupid, unless its the last 10 mins of a knockout game/end of season, its never worth getting sent off to prevent a goal.
No idea why the ref made him take the penalty again seeing as it was Newcastle players encroaching, basically the ref is only supposed to order a retake of the team gain an advantage, IE if NEwcastle encroach and a defender clears the ball after a save, retake penalty, or if a Benfica player encroaches and hits a rebound shot in(and sometimes a goal is scored normallY) then a retake. If Newcastle encroach and its a goal, or Benfica encroach and its saved, it shouldn't be retaken.
Spurs, were terrible, and that didn't look pretty from Bale, though... not sure on this AVB said because he's done his ligament before, there isn't anything there to damage now? With ankles is it a case of ligament snapped, ligament gone? I know there are ligaments you can work fine without and some you can work(but not as well) without, but thought ankles/knees you pretty much need all the major ones you can injure? Anyway AVB was suggesting because the ligament can't have gone again its likely just to be swelling/pain and not long term.

I feel bad for NUFC when on another day they might have won that match, unlucky misses from cisse who is obviously missing his partner in crime (Ba) a riduclous back pass which im sure santon will never ever do again and a very rare mistake from super taylor.
Well is was at st james for the win against the ruskies and ill be there next week for the ho.e leg with benfica, lets hope its a good match, i would love to see england dominate a euro comp.

I had him to score a hat-trick. 4-0 would have been a reasonable score last night and it probably would have been if not for that dubious decision by the ref. Anyway that result should give us another three games to play. I could do with a dose of player rotation this week.
