UEFA Champions League/Europa League 2/3/4 April *** Spoilers ***

Soooo excited for the toon v benfica game. We have a large Portuguese consultancy firm at work so the banter has been flowing. Off down the pub tomorrow, me and 12 odd Portuguese chaps.

Expecting to be hammered mind...

Dortmund game is very entertaining. Malaga leave about 2 defenders back when they have the ball, both of whom are rubbish, and Dortmund just look terrible defensively too. The movement from Lewandowski and Reus is delicious, definitely feels like a matter of time before they get a few but Malaga still look dangerous. Gundogan looks very handy in the middle.

Anyone got any idea how long I have to wait before Uefa explain why Benzema wasn't sent off tonight? I'd like a reason before bed time if poss....

Ramos is awful at CB and the way he carries himself in-game is nothing short of embarrassing imo.

Dortmund game 0-0 but very much felt like Dortmund being poor rather than Malaga being good. Should still be a comfortable win at home though.

I personally think it's a case of damage limitation for Newcastle tonight. I would take a 1-0 loss tonight, hoping to take them back to St Jamses with a full stadium and hopefully a fully fit XI and take the game to them there...

Line up (predicted)

Krul
Simpson - Taylor - Mbiwa - Santon
Cabaye - Perch - Gutierrez
Sissoko - Cisse - Marveaux

Hugo Lloris returns but Jermain Defoe is out of our Europa League quarter-final, first leg against FC Basel on Thursday night.

Hugo has trained again this week after picking up a slight knee injury in France's World Cup qualifier against Spain on March 26 that ruled him out of Saturday's win at Swansea.
Clint Dempsey also comes back into the frame after his World Cup qualifying exploits for the USA but Jermain is sidelined by a muscle injury.
"Hugo is back in training, Clint is also fully involved after his international fixtures but Jermain is a new injury blow," reported Andre after training on Wednesday.
"Jermain is likely to miss the next two games against Basel and Everton but has a small chance for the second leg against Basel."
Andre also said that Tom Carroll (hamstring) remains out alongside longer-term Younes Kaboul and Sandro.
