***UEFA Champions League/Europa League 2010/11 Matchday 1***

I really like Chamakh, this is the first time I've had a chance to watch him and it looks like he fills that hole I felt Arsenal had up front.

a lot of players take a while to adjust to the English game but this guy looks impressive with 3 goals in his first 3 home games.

You could just hear Almunia shouting instructions there. Something I've not heard much of before. Good stuff, maybe he is finally trying to take charge of the defence.

I really like the fact that he's so willing to roam around. It reminds me of when Adebayor actually bothered at the start of his time with us, and it's bloody breath of fresh air after the last couple of seasons of the latter's later moods, and Bendtner's ambling insousiance.

Even though I am not a true Arsenal fan (part timer, my heart is with Cov), I love going to watch them. They truely know how to play great football.

Great performance so far, maybe it's too early to say but Chamakh looks like he's everything people thought he'd be. Works hard in attack and defence (shades of early Adebayor), holds the ball up excellently and has a few tricks too, and, he can finish! His goal was one of the best you'll see this season. Nasri is working hard and giving the right side good balance, hardly anything has come down the right side, and Wilshere is fulfilling his potential very quickly this season, not a performance you'd expect from an 18 year old playing European standard opposition, he looks so comfortable.

Edit - Also, Arshavin is a little dodgy tonight, he keeps falling to the floor as if he knows it's not his night, and he's given the ball away more times than he hasn't. The good thing is that he's still getting in good positions and trying, I'd prefer that than him just doing nothing. Good goal though.

Nicely done Arsenal. The last goal was brilliant, lovely assist from Wilshere. I have missed the times we used to be 3-0 up halfway through.

Only worry is the continuing lack of form from Arshavin. Scored a goal given to him but really didn't have a decent first half overall. He doesn't track back at all and Clichy's on his own down the left.

Rosicky's another player who needs to be rested a lot, but would prefer him on the LW than Arshavin.

Yea Wilshere's performance so far is very impressive especially for a 18 year old. I can't pick a fault with any of the Arsenal players.

Player of the half?

Hard to pick with so many good performances, I would have to go for Chamakh!

Agreed they've all done well. I have to say Chamakh, but that's because he's really got involved. To be fair though - last year he chipped in with 5 goals, he likes playing in Europe.

I'd like to see Rosicky come on. I like him. :)

Arsenal's squad aren't so easy to hate atm. I like Nasri and Arshavin too.

I've always rated him very highly and thought he would fit right in with Arsenal. Shame he has suffered so much with injury.
