UEFA Champions League/Europa League 22/23/24 October *** Spoilers ***

We need to play with one striker upfront and Kagawa behind him with Januzaj and Nani on the wings. Just need a couple of CM's.

United would have to play a 3-5-2 formation to accommodate RvP, Rooney and Kagawa.

Like I had always thought, you're a bit full of ****.

So this 3-5-2 that you want, where is Rooney going to play? Kagawa?

Or let's go with your first choice of Kagawa behind the striker, who are you dropping in that, Rooney or Van Persie?

Think before you type.

--------------Van Persie--------
------Kagawa---Rooney-----Nani------
----------Carrick-----Fellaini----
Evra--------Evans--Vidic---------Rafael
---------------De Gea-----------------

Approximately, with the 3 supports given fairly free roam. It's not ideal but I think it's the best we can do with what we have that uses all our strongest elements. I know people keep saying Kagawa and Rooney can't both operate in the centre but I think that's nonsense. There's plenty of room and both can roam wide when needed as well (Rooney does this a fair amount anyway!)

I'd agree with that as pretty much our best team, lots of playing time together would make it pretty formidable against the likes of Chelsea, for sure.

EDIT: Even more hilarious is the Real Juventus game, Vidal gets into the box and goes to cross the ball only for him to trip over himself then goes nuts when he isnt given a penalty. The Real defender is so far away from him when hes trying to appeal for a penalty....on what planet does he think he has been tripped by the defender...couldnt make it up if you tried:p

From the gif it looks like he kicks the ground. Perhaps he thought he had been kicked. It was still hilarious though.

Wow what a bunch of racist idiots the Russians are, watching SSN and you can clearly hear the monkey chants aimed at Toure.

Lets hope UEFA do something about it, kick them out and ban them for a few yrs due to the idiocy of their fans.

Hilarious stuff from their media manager, saying Toure making it up lol.

In his defence he was denied a legit penalty claim earlier, his team mate also got a non existet red card from Ronaldo diving. The ref was against us all night and Vidal isn't the player to normally do something like that. It was just frustration with the ref why he done it imo.

It looks good on paper but in reality there is very little protection for the full backs, Kagawa and Nani aren't going to drop in and protect Evra and Rafael when they go bombing forward which we would need to provide width in that formation.

Certainly seems so, he kicked the turf and fell over...should have booked the turf and given a penalty:p

Ahh fair enough, i didnt watch the game myself...saw some highlights and just thought Vidal's trip was hilarious and his reaction to it ie thinking he had been tripped. Im sure after he saw the replays of it, must have had a good chuckle about it.

Seems like the ref was a bit card happy, Chellini got sent off for putting his arm in Ronaldo's face..shame we didnt have that ref when we played Dortmund as Lewandowski got away with an elbow to the face of Koscielny.

And looks like UEFA have opened up disclipinary proceedings against CSKA for their scumbag supporters.

And finally it kicked off in here didnt it??, looks like a few Utd fans got a bit heated under the collar lol.

Sure infract me for someone else name dropping me into the fight when I had not been involved in the squabble at all. Just playing into their hands.

The matter had been dealt with and you wanted to bring it back up again. Two Dons have deleted posts, you've been given an infraction and told to pack it in yet you still want to moan? I think you're the one playing into their hands.

Personally I like that Utd formation from Sham, as stated it would work best with younger legs than Evra's ( ie more likely to cover a counter attack) but unfortunately cant see Moyes ever using it. ...and probably requires a better partner to Carrick than the chocolate teapot that is Fellani lol

Even as it is though it would be great to see

That's exactly the point, it looks great on paper but Moyes would never entertain that. Fellani as well in that formation would be shocking, you would need 2 really top class CM's for that.

Well at the moment I'm struggling to see where he would be good, he looks poor under pressure, his passing has been...erratic and it's not like he's winning the ball back much. As I said, it's the best we can do with what we've got. Until we buy some proper CM's we'll keep struggling.
