Sure, that's all perfectly valid, and in the cold light of day it's worth considering. But this isn't the cold light of day. This is a much needed win, to relieve the horrendous pressure that's been on the side for weeks now. 30 mins after said victory is not the time to come in and **** on our parade. Especially when you claim to be a fan of the team.
As SPW said, sometimes, a win is just a win.![]()
No, a good performance is a good performance, even if you lose, a bad performance is a bad performance, even if we win.
That was a bad performance, just less bad than the other side. That wasn't "getting in the top 4" performance, or anything close.
I don't care if we win, or lose.......... I want to see improvement in the team, the hint of trying to fix where we are weak, not making the same mistakes over and over, and over and over. I want to see one player, one position, one set piece, one tactic, one improvement ANYWHERE on the pitch over last season to be positive about...... I didn't see anything, not a single improvement anywhere.
I've said before, mistakes aren't a problem, Wenger is too afraid of them to do anything. I don't expect Wenger to go out and buy someone for 5mil who ends up the next Gilberto, or Henry, but keeping Denilson on a high wage(for this league and most certainly for his quality) because you're too afraid or stupid to TRY replacing him, is retarded. Sell him, sign someone, if they are cack, move on and try someone else, staying with someone you KNOW is bad is for me far worse than making a mistake on buying someone who ends up being bad aswell, you're no worse off, if that signing turns out great, wooo, theres no downside.
I want a hint, after 6 years, of TRYING to turn things around, of working hard on set pieces, of bringing in a new defensive coach, he clearly can't sort out our defence, nor can anyone at the club. I have no problem with that, bring in a new defensive coach who can do the job, this is why I don't like Wenger, not the lack of success, not losing, not lack of big name signings. Lack of any hint of improving, any adaptability, any willingness to eith admit or even recognise what he's got wrong.
If he sold the terrible trio, brought in a new defensive coach, maybe a new assistant manager and tried to improve, I'd be right behind him, the reason I'm not is, he hasn't done this in 6 years and he's shown no sign of even being aware what the problem is. Actually I wouldn't mind what he actually did, as long as there were signs of improving, maybe a new defensive coach could get something much better out of Denilson, before we made him a DM he could actually pass, like, forwards, quite well.

Maybe the key to fixing Arsenal is a new fitness trainer, or a new medical staff, a new type of training, a 3-5-2 formation, player Vermaelen upfront and Wilshire as a CB, what I KNOW is the current system/setup/methods being used are gradually making the team worse, not better, and have been for some time. The team needs change, and you keep adapting till you find something that works, ask Fergie, staying the same and becoming entirely predictable just makes you an easier team to beat every game you play.
