UEFA Champions League/Europa League 27/28/29 September *** Spoilers ***

Should be an easy match tonight but the players out might make it more tricky.

Berbatov has to play, don't think a Welbeck/Owen partnership would work.

Welbeck could have course play wide instead of Nani (give the latter a break on the bench?)

It has to be Berba / owen given Chicharitio's injury at the weekend, I just hope Berba does more in this match than he did against Stoke

Real Madrid v Ajax

*sigh* Historically that would have been an immense game. Still could be given the odd form RM are in at the moment I suppose.

Indeed. Few years back that would have been a massive game.

Real should win, but they have been known to have the occasional shocker against European sides, Shaktar and some one else who I can't remember beat them recently.

Looking forward to seeing City play Bayern, should be a few goals in it...predicting a draw but would be more happier if City get beaten.

Arsenal wont have Kos, blessing in disguise i suppose:p, Walcott or Gervinho avail to play...dont know if its through injuries or what but most likely it is. Expecting Arsenal to win but not exactly confident of it though.

----Lindergaard----

Valencia - Jones - Rio - Evra (/Fabio?)

Welbeck - Fletcher - Ando - Young

--- Berba - - - - Owen

dont have much choice in defence apart from Fabio with Vidic, Smalling and Rafael all out - unless the young kid plays who had his debut in the CC last week (I doubt it though)

Could give Carrick a run out instead Fletcher, and of course Nani ......

---------Dzeko-------
Silva----Aguero---Nasri
------Yaya----Barry----
Clichy-Komp--Toure--Richards
-----------Hart--------------

Likely team i think. Possibly Kolarov in for Clichy but i think we need Clichy's pace for Ribery/Muller etc and also for the counter attack.

THIS EVENING a very very very difficult match for Basel against Manchester United ( a team that I always loved ), obviously this time I am for the swiss team but the difference between the two teams is really big, I guess at least 3 or 4-0 ( or more ) for Manchester. The only way to do something positive is playing very defensive and hoping that ManU have a bad evening.

I'll be amazed if we don't play a 4-3-3, but it wouldn't surprise me to see the above as De Jong has been confirmed out and Milner is still carrying a rib injury, shame as both are perfect for playing someone like Bayern away from home. Not expecting anything from tonight though to be honest, a draw would be a good result to a team in their form at the moment.

Saw in the papers that they are going 4-3-3 with Silva-Aguero-Tevez up front.

I might actually watch the Man City game more than the Man U one. We all know Man U will beat Basle. Will probably flick through both games.

I can’t see Man U having much of a problem tonight but Man City might well be very lucky if they get a draw tonight. The City game is the one to watch.
